Natural Rubber Adhesive Tapes
Natural rubber adhesive provides a reliable seal with good aging properties. The adhesive comprises natural or synthetic rubber combined with resins and oils. Rubber-based tapes adhere well to corrugated cardboard and offer high shear strength to resist box compression forces. The flexible backing and stretchy adhesive conform well over uneven carton seams and edges. Natural rubber also performs better than synthetic acrylics at extremely low temperatures. On the downside, natural rubber adhesives can have lower tack and weaker initial bonds versus other adhesives. Overall, rubber carton sealing tapes offer an economical option.
